Diplo drops music video for Thomas Wesley song 'Haertless'

Notorious EDM superstar Diplo has his hand in just about everything these days. His latest foray into a country-themed sound saw him team up with vocalist Morgan Wallen for a track called "Heartless" under his alias Thomas Wesley. Now, "Heartless" has a music video to accompany it.

The video features Diplo and Wallen at a county fair, riding rides and watching fireworks. It's quite a feelgood video to accompany a track lamenting a breakup with a significant other. After Diplo and Wallen are finished playing shooting games and having their caricatures drawn, we see scenes of a brief EDM show with Diplo on the decks, making everything feel just a little more familiar.

"Heartless" feels a bit more like a pop ballad with country themes than an actual country song, with Diplo's hip-hop-inspired production sitting nicely beneath Wallen's heartbroken lyrics. The track itself is already racking up streams and is quite popular among Diplo's diverse fan base and beyond.

Diplo is always working on something new, and this latest venture into more country-oriented sound under the Thomas Wesley alias will undoubtedly be a successful side project for him. It's evident that he's always looking to push the envelope and discover new sounds, and "Heartless" does just that.

Showtek drops animated remix of Major Lazer’s ‘Can’t Take It From Me’

Taking time out from their hectic global touring schedule, revered Dutch duo Showtek have delivered a high-energy remix of ‘Can’t Take It From Me’, the latest single from internationally renowned dance music trio Major Lazer, out on Friday 2nd August.

Building on the feel-good vibe of the original, Showtek raise the temperature from the offset with this dancefloor-focused rework - culminating with a high-octane drop in the track’s latter stages. The respected duo also ensure that the rousing vocals of Bob Marley’s grandson Skip remain centre stage, possessing the original’s authenticity. Released last month, the original has already generated 1.8 million YouTube hits and is set to become the lead single from Major Lazer’s forthcoming album.

Speaking about the track, Showtek said: Very excited to collaborate with Major Lazer again & Skip Marley on this project. We took all the key elements of this and ‘festivalized’ it a bit.

The brothers kicked off their global tour on Friday 5th July at iconic fairyland theme park Disneyland Paris for Electroland. Bringing their trademark sound to all corners of the globe, Showtek have hit up the likes of Music Circus, S20 Songkran Music Festival and Dreamland Festival, with a double appearance at London’s Ministry of Sound and a slew of US dates still to come.

The remix comes in the aftermath of Showtek’s collaboration with fellow EDM titans Steve Aoki andMAKJ on party-starting single ‘Rave’. Already amassing over 2.6 million streams on Spotify and the official music video racking up 2.2 million views on YouTube, the dynamic anthem is a track that looks set to dominate airplay worldwide.

Far from the only high-profile collaboration of Showtek’s career, the brothers who have amassed 1.6 billion views on YouTube and almost 1 billion streams on Spotify, have previously worked with the likes of Moby, Tiesto and Hardwell, while career-defining single ‘Bad’ with dance music legend David Guetta has clocked up a monumental 377 million Spotify streams and 838 million YouTube hits since its 2014 release.

An internationally recognised group in their own right, Major Lazer is comprised of globally recognised artists’ Diplo, Walshy Fire and Ape Drums. Previously collaborating with the likes of Pharell Williams,Sean Paul and Snoop Dogg, the trio clocked in at #5 on last year’s Billboard Dance 100 list.

Black Saint announces the new release on his debut EP 'Everybody Wants You'

Adding to their accolade of smash releases and stellar remixes, British DJ and Producer trio Black Saint follow up their summer smash 'Day Drinking' with a debut EP 'Everybody Wants You', released July 26th 2019 via Warner Music.

Lead track 'Everybody Wants You' teems with energy, an effortlessly dynamic statement track, whilst 'Enough' shows a level of depth and diversity to Black Saint's palette, effortlessly fusing together old-skool house with the nu-skool. It's an entirely new body of work featuring dance-hall infused burner 'Naked'.

Black Saint explain "With this EP it really gives us a chance to let the listener into our house. Having the opportunity to release 3 tracks from our new EP allows us to display all our flavours so you get a real understanding of who we are and where we are going with this sound. With Tracks like 'Naked' we've gone back to the cross-genre vibe, like with our first single 'Could You Love Me', and on this track it's the first time we have performed, so it's 100% us".

Black Saint aren't like other most dance acts crafting floor fillers -- this London trio actually have something to say. Debut single "Could You Love Me?" was not just a unique cross-genre pollination with an irresistible beat, but also that rare dancefloor smash which stands for something- with a video, lensed by acclaimed director Josh Cole, which shines a light on the Romani communities of the U.K. "You've got a responsibility to put something out there that has integrity and can make a difference," explains band member Justin Osuji.

The trio have ascended quickly, with plaudits from publications such as Complex, Wonderland, Earmilk, MTV, V Magazine, Milk, and Clash amongst many others. They have also amassed over XX million Spotify streams on their first four singles alone, a testament to their dynamic approach in a constantly evolving industry.

Black Saint's outright resistance of the 'Superstar DJ' persona has allowed them to forge their own path within the multi-faceted sphere of dance music culture. Through this simplistic approach they have managed to stay true to themselves and their African and Caribbean influences that have driven their success.

They've previously executed projects that saw them add their own twist on tracks by some of the biggest artists in the world including Dua Lipa's 'Blow Your Mind' and Robin Schulz's 'It's Gonna be Okay' Their live show is one not to be missed either, having spent the last 18 months performing in front of some of their biggest audiences to date.

A brilliant mix of contradictions, Black Saint are the tech-obsessed musos who are controlling the future of pop-lead dance music one banger at a time. Get ready; things are only just getting started!

Tiësto, Jonas Blue and Rita Ora drop music video for 'ritual'

GRAMMY® Award-winning, platinum-certified, international DJ and producer, Tiësto, pop powerhouse Jonas Blue and global superstar Rita Ora release the official music video for “Ritual” today. Shot in London, the video features Rita Ora and was directed by Sophie Muller (Beyonce, Coldplay, No Doubt, Radiohead) and choreographed by Aaron Sillis (Rihanna, Katy Perry, Justin Bieber). The video premiered on the iconic Viacom Times Square billboard this morning, as well as on MTV Live and mtvU.

The track, which has been streamed well over 20 million times since its release less than 3 weeks ago, is a first-time song collaboration for the three artists.

About Tiësto
Tiësto is a GRAMMY® Award-winning, platinum-certified, international icon. The DJ and producer is the only artist to ever hold the titles of “The Greatest DJ of All Time” courtesy of Mixmag, “#1 DJ” according to Rolling Stone, and “The Godfather of EDM” as proclaimed by Billboard. From his high-profile residency at Hakkasan to his crossover success, Tiësto created the blueprint that defines what it means to be a success in today’s dance music world.

About Jonas Blue
In an era of slow-building careers, Jonas Blue is an anomaly. He has amassed an armoury of platinum-plated hits with the singles ‘Fast Car’, ‘Perfect Strangers’, ‘Mama’, ‘Rise’, ‘Polaroid’, the collaboration ‘Back & Forth’ and ‘What I Like About You’.  With almost 7.5 billion global streams and 40 million singles sales to date – certified platinum over 120 times around the world – the 5 x BRIT Award nominee has become a mainstage DJ, pop powerhouse and critically acclaimed songwriter.
Away from the charts, Jonas tours relentlessly around the world, making numerous festival appearances at the likes of Tomorrowland, We Are FSTVL, SW4 and Lollapalooza. Additionally, the hit-maker enjoyed a hugely successful Ibiza residency at superclub Hi throughout summer 2018 with additional Balearic performances at Ushuaia and Pacha.
So much has changed for the man who was still making music in his dad’s garage until 2017, but his drive remains the same. Jonas could afford to sit back and take stock but moving forward is what Jonas Blue is all about.

About Rita Ora
Rita Ora is an international critically acclaimed singer-songwriter with four #1 UK singles and holds the record for the most Top 10 singles for a British female artist in the UK in history with a total of 13. Visionary Uppermost releases his latest song, ‘23rd Street’ today

The electronic producer Uppermost has just released a new single, ‘23rd street’ via Upperwind Records today. His own label, Uppwind Records, has championed releases for French-touch and nu-disco visionaries such as Digitalism and Satin Jackets. Uppermost has featured on the Beatport electro-house chart and the JunoDownload electro-house chart.

With influences from his French/Persian heritage, a young Uppermost began producing his own own music. It turns out that this act would shape his life, as he founded Uppwind Records in 2011 as an outlet for like-minded artists.

‘23rd Street’ is another victory for Uppermost, showcasing the prodigious talents of an artist with a genuine passion for music. It is an atmospheric and evocative offering that ebbs and flows, reminiscent of the sound with which he has made his name yet demonstrating something completely fresh and revitalised.

“I think there’s something about old-school hip-hop vibes that’s highly inspiring. Like a vintage, handcrafted, urban feeling.  In this track, I tried to convey different emotions that bring me on a creative journey such as nostalgia, hopes and lost memories.”
