French Touch pioneers, Digitalism, put their disco spin on Uppermost's Song 'Better Days Ahead' ahead of compilation release

Digitalism are one of the first name you think of when speaking about French Touch (or French House as it's also become known). Considered peers by the likes of Daft Punk and Soul Wax, whenever you see their name in front of the word "remix" you simply know that you're about to turn your speakers up.

Their first release for 2019 since their remix of Superorganism's 'Night Time', the duo went for Uppermost's track, 'Better Days Ahead'. While we're on the topic, this track is taken from Uppermost's upcoming compilation album Uppwind On Air. A first for his Uppwind Records label, Behdad (Uppermost) curated some fo the finest tracks around to present an album of tracks that he truly believes in. Not inspired by making a profit, but instead inspired by releasing and supporting art created by like-minded individuals. The compilation is set for release on the 8th of March.

The new rendition from French Touch pioneers Digitalism, sees them transforming the soothing and uplifting melodies of the original, into a hard-hitting (and foot stomping) club-ready track. ‘Uppermost - Better Days Ahead (Digitalism Better Beats Ahead)’ is a prime introduction to the whole compilation and a testament to what Digitalism are known for.

On this upcoming compilation, Uppermost comments, “I am happy and proud to put out the label's very first compilation. I've always been looking for ways to showcase the work of talented and passionate people through an independent brand that focuses on quality rather than quantity. I also took this opportunity to include a brand new track of mine featuring Jack Lena's amazing voice. It follows the new direction I took a few months ago, going away from the expectations of success and fame, focusing on the things that truly matter to my heart.

Global powerhouse duo, Seeb, enlist Jay Pryor for a remix of 'Grip' alongside Bastille

Notable for adding their Midas touch to other artists tracks, Norwegian heavyweights Seeb enlist the talents of Jay Pryor for a fresh new spin on ‘Grip’ - their collaborating single with Bastille

Grip’ was released late last year and has already amassed over 26M Spotify streams alone. The production duo proves themselves to be no less masterful at taking another artist’s musical vision and enhancing it with their own unique take on dance-floor hits with a human sensibility. ‘Grip’ is an unconventional blend of melancholy and euphoria, merging Bastille’s infectious lyrics and Dan Smith’s unique vocals with Seeb’'s undeniable production prowess. The track is also featured on Bastille’'s highly anticipated fourth Mixtape, ‘Other People’s Heartache Pt.4 out now.

Since the release of the official video, the track has been reinvented by house producer Jay Pryor, who has previously remixed hits for Louis Tomlinson, Steve Aoki, Digital Farm Animals and Snakehips. Racking up millions of streams between remixes and personal releases, Pryor is making a name for himself one track at a time.

Electrifying from the off, the remix gradually raises the track to an energy level that cannot be topped. With a bright and blissful chorus backed by vivacious electronic embellishments, this remix manages to take an already stellar track and turn it into something surprisingly original and refreshing.

Starting with their truly game changing remix of Mike Posner’'s I Took A Pill in Ibiza’ through to their work with the likes of Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Tove Lo and OneRepublic, chances are that you’'ve heard the music of Seeb or at least their influence – even if you may not already be aware of who they are.

Simen Eriksrud and musical partner Espen Berg formed Seeb through their love of defying genre and chasing the most fresh and original sounds. They scored a Hype Machine No.1 with their remix of Kiesza’'s ‘Cut Me Loose’, before extending their unique technique of vocal chopping on their globe-conquering take on Mike Posner’'s ‘I Took A Pill in Ibiza’. It hit No.2 on the Global Spotify Chart, No.4 on Billboard Hot 100, became a world radio and dancefloor smash, soon becoming the second most played song globally in 2016.

Before long, Chris Martin invited them to remix Coldplay’'s ‘Hymn For The Weekend’, they gave a new sense of colour to Taylor Swift’'s ‘Delicate’, OneRepublic asked them to collaborate on ‘Rich Love’ and their adventurous and runaway original tracks with the likes of Skylar Grey and Dagny had them amassing over 4 billion streams in just two years.

With their own music, their own vision and living on their own terms, they’re taking things far beyond what they or anyone else ever thought possible. Now it’s time for the world to catch up with Seeb. You will know their name.

Electronic duo, SACRE, continues the story of their concept album, with the second part of the story in '08:00 PM JUNGLIZATION'

Not only are they probably the best-dressed musicians in the world right now, but SACRE is pushing the boundaries of how we approach an album, redefining what it means to convey a message through music.

Parisian duo, SACRE has released ‘08:00 PM JUNGLIZATION’ their second single from their upcoming album LOVE REVOLUTION. Now, if you’re thinking that the titles to the track’s they’ve been releasing might look odd, there’s a perfectly good explanation to it all.

The concept behind LOVE REVOLUTION is to immerse the listener in a story. Once the full album is released, all of the tracks will be successive, starting at 07:00PM and running until 06:00AM and feature a timestamp to indicate this. Each track features a new character, and each storyline follows on from the previous one, until eventually all 12 characters intercept for a magical, mystical ending.
To accompany the releases, SACRE worked with photographer Thomas Braut, and will release the corresponding photograph to the track on Instagram, on each track’s release day. Utilising social media as a means to spread their message, LOVE REVOLUTION’s “story” will be shared as a Facebook story as the plot progresses. LOVE REVOLUTION is more than a mere album, it is on ongoing narrative, combining  art, music and social media.

As people, we live for art. This is what we portray with this album. We are 360°, full circle creators on LOVE REVOLUTION. We are writing a story, writing the tracks, writing the lyrics, recording, singing, producing, designing the scenes and the outfits, as well as designing our own logo and the visuals we share.” they say.

With all that in mind, their latest release ‘08:00 PM JUNGLIZATION’ continues on from the story of '07:00 PM VAHINE’, so if you want to fully grasp this track, you need to listen to that first. But luckily, this track is fantastic on its own as well and does not need the contextualisation it’s being offered with.

A quick recap on LOVE REVOLUTION
Where we are in the story: now It’s 8pm. The girl with the red beret is still dreaming in front on her vahine. On the other side of the city, a journalist from Radio 64 is interviewing Hawaii in a bar. The perfect occasion for him to be heard talking about love.
